- This weekend I was biking back from Rockaway Beach, when something caught my eye in a park near my house. There was a big empty school yard with a baby skateboarding with perfect stance and balance. I literally had to double take. He was even skating both ways, left foot and right foot forward. A true talent. I biked into the park and took some snaps. I even tried telling his grandfather that the baby was a natural talent, but he didn’t speak English. Then I felt weird, because I was all sweaty from the ride and was staring at his grandson like he was the second coming of christ. So after taking a few snaps, I left, but the memory is still there.
